Probate Court
Probate hearings are heard on Mondays or Tuesdays at 9:00 a.m. Probate Hearings that take more than one (1) hour must be approved by Darren Shelton, Circuit Court Clerk.
There are two kinds of estates.
Large Estate- A large estate is an estate that involves a piece of real estate regardless of the value or if no real estate the total value of all estate assets equal at least $50,000.
Small Estate- A small estate is an estate that does not involve any real estate and the total value of all assets are less than $50,000
